Terms related to ESET PROTECT Hub explained:
•Activation Key—A unique code used to activate your ESET solution and identify the subscription owner.
•Asset—An entity for which an ESET solution can be activated (for example, a device, mailbox, or user account).
•Audit logs—Security logs collected for important user-prompted events. See Audit logs.
•Authorization—Permission to manage a specific ESET subscription.
•Co-management—Co-management is a collaboration between a reseller/MSP and a customer, where the reseller gets access to the customer's ESET PROTECT Hub account and their security solutions.
•Impersonation—Impersonation is an ability to temporarily view the ESET PROTECT Hub Platform as another user without logging in with their credentials. The Audit logs section displays actions and system records, tracking both the impersonator and the impersonated user.
•Subscription Owner—ESET subscription holder who can view the subscription status in real-time, monitor individual solutions activated by the subscription, and deactivate those solutions as needed.
•MSP—Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a company that offers outsourced IT services to businesses.
•Offering—A specific combination of cybersecurity solutions, services and features. Offerings are available through various subscription-based and tier models.
•Offline activation file—Subscription units used for activation without an internet connection.
•OTP—A One-time Password (OTP) is a temporary, unique code used for authentication. When a user attempts to log in, an OTP is generated and sent to the user's registered device or email. The user must provide the OTP to verify their identity.
•Subscription code—A short string that third parties use to identify subscriptions. You cannot use your Subscription code to activate ESET solutions.
•Subscription unit—A unit of subscription usage that represents one activation of an ESET solution for a specific asset under a specific subscription.
•Sites—The Sites section contains information about different organizational units within the company.
•Superuser—A special user account with elevated privileges and the highest access level. The Superuser manages ESET PROTECT Platform modules and the company account.
•Two-Factor Authentication—Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security process that requires users to provide two distinct forms of identification to verify their identity.
