Remove a device
When you reach your subscription limit, or your subscription is overused, you can free up subscription seats by deactivating and uninstalling devices you no longer use. After disconnecting your device, you cannot manage and view its security in the ESET HOME account. If you want to use your subscription on a new device, read the Transfer subscription to a new device chapter.
We recommend you uninstall the unused ESET application so you can free up the activation for another device. |
In this chapter, you can read the following instructions on how to:
•Remove devices from the specific subscription
•Remove a device from the leaked subscription and reset the activation key
•Disconnect the device without deactivation
Remove devices from the specific subscription
1.Log in to the ESET HOME.
2.In the side menu, click Subscriptions.
3.Next to the applicable subscription, click the gear wheel
icon > Manage protected devices.
4.Click Manage devices.
If you have multiple devices listed and are not sure which one to remove, look for the device marked as Inactive device. The status shows how long it has not been active, which can help you identify an old or unused device. You can also open a device to check its Application version, Activation date, and Operating system for further confirmation. |
5.Select the applicable devices or click the Select all check box.
6.Click Remove selected devices.
Remove a device from the leaked subscription and reset the activation key
To remove your devices from the leaked subscription and reset your activation key, follow the instruction below:

2.In the side menu, click Subscriptions.
3.Next to the applicable subscription, click the gear wheel

8.Reactivate all legitimate devices with your new activation key or ESET HOME account credentials.
To ensure no further leaks occur, we recommend you change the ESET HOME password used to log in to home.eset.com. Also, we recommend activating Two-Factor Authentication to increase the security of your ESET HOME account. |
Disconnecting without device deactivation
The ESET application installed on the device will be disconnected, not uninstalled, and the device will still be protected.
