Remove a device
When you reach your license limit, or your license is in an overused state, you should free up some license seats by deactivating devices you no longer use. The ESET product installed on the device will be deactivated, not uninstalled, and the device will lose its protection. After disconnecting your device, you cannot manage and view its security in the ESET HOME account.
Remove a device from the license and reset the License Key
If your license is leaked, we recommend you remove your devices and reset your License Key.
1.Log in to the ESET HOME web portal.
2.In the Licenses section, click Show all licenses.
3.Next to the applicable license, click the three-dots button > Remove devices.
4.Select the applicable devices or the Select all check box.
If you do not recognize some of the devices displayed on the screen, select the Reset License Key check box. |
5.Click Remove devices.
6.Selected devices are removed. Deactivation of ESET products may take six hours to complete. Click Finish, and your new License Key is sent to your email address and appears on the screen.
7.Reactivate all legitimate devices with your new License Key or ESET HOME account credentials.
Important To ensure no further leaks occur, we recommend you change the ESET HOME password you used to log into home.eset.com. Also, we recommend activating Two-factor authentication to increase the security of your ESET HOME account. |
