Windows accounts are not password protected
Your Windows user account is not protected by a password. You will receive this optimization warning if at least one user account is not protected with a password. Creating a password for all users (except Phantom account) on the computer will resolve this issue.
After you set up a password, you will need to type it every time that you log in to your computer. |
Windows 11/10
1.Open User Accounts by clicking Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
2.Click Password > Add.
3.Fill in the fields New password, Reenter password, and Password hint.
4.Click Next.
5.Click Finish.
Windows 8.1/8
1.Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard.
2.Click Change a password.
3.Leave the Old password field blank.
4.Type the password into the New password and Confirm password fields and press Enter.
If you would like to create a password for another account, follow these steps:
a)With a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the Desktop, click Settings > Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts > Manage another account.
b)Choose the user you would like to change.
c)Click Create a password.
You need an administrator user account to complete the steps above. |

Windows 7 or Windows Vista
1.Open User Accounts by clicking Start > Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts.
2.Click Create a password.
3.Type the password in the New password and Confirm new password fields.
4.If you would like to use a password hint, type the hint in the Password hint box.
5.Click Create password.

Windows XP
1.Click Start > Control Panel.
2.Double-click User Accounts.
3.In the Users tab, click the name of the user for whom you want to create a new password and then click Reset Password.
4.In the New password and Confirm new password fields, type the password you want to use and then click OK.
