Configuration change
You can temporarily lose access to the internet if you are using a device that connects exclusively through a VPN on your router, and at the same time, you invalidate the existing VPN configuration and do not apply a new configuration immediately, or an error occurs while applying it. The VPN tunnel is interrupted because the old configuration is no longer valid. The router loses internet connection and so do the devices connected to the router. To prevent this, remove the current VPN configuration in your router's settings before deactivating protection. |
To change the existing configuration VPN for Router, follow the steps below:
1.Log in to your ESET HOME account.
2.In the menu, click Members.
3.Choose the Account owner from the list of members.
4.Click VPN > VPN for Router > Remove protection.
5.Confirm by clicking Remove protection.
6.Create and download a new configuration with the desired VPN protocol type and other parameters, such as protocols and ports.
7.To apply the configuration, follow the instructions for your Asus or TP-Link router.

The importing procedure of the VPN configuration for a router from another manufacturer is very similar. |
