Upgrade installation
In the Dashboard, the Components Status Overview tile shows the number of outdated components. Outdated components include components on computers using an earlier version than the installed version of the Authentication Server. Click the number in the Outdated column to see the affected computers. Use the latest installer to upgrade the ESA Components (Windows Login, Remote Desktop Protection, IIS, AD FS, RADIUS, Identity Provider Connector) on the affected computers.
Upgrade via the live installer You can use the live installer to upgrade already installed ESA components. In this case, no invitation is needed. Select all the installed ESA components; otherwise, they will be removed during the upgrade attempt. |
.EXE installer versus .MSI installer
In some cases, it is possible to combine the generic .EXE installer (also known as bootstrapper) and .MSI installer. You can use the .MSI installer and live installer interchangeably in the table below.
