ESET Secure Authentication – Table of Contents

Upgrade installation

In the Dashboard, the Components Status Overview tile shows the number of outdated components. Outdated components include components on computers using an earlier version than the installed version of the Authentication Server. Click the number in the Outdated column to see the affected computers. Use the latest installer to upgrade the affected computers' ESA Components (Windows Login, Remote Desktop Protection, IIS, Active Directory Federation Services, RADIUS, Identity Provider Connector).

Note

Upgrade via the Live Installer

You can use the Live Installer to upgrade already installed ESA components. In this case, no invitation is needed.

Select all the installed ESA components; otherwise, they will be removed during the upgrade attempt.

.EXE installer versus .MSI installer

In some cases, the generic .EXE installer (a bootstrapper) and the .MSI installer can be combined. In the table below, you can interchange the .MSI installer and the Live Installer.
