Policy settings

Two policy setting controls are available for controlling the operation of ESET Endpoint Encryption Server - Device Policy and Group Policy.

Device Policy

Device Policy controls how ESET Endpoint Encryption Server, user and device can interact with encryption and interfaces with external Data sources; the physical environment of the device. This policy applies when the user is not logged into ESET Endpoint Encryption or is not yet activated on the device. Group Policy (below) may override some settings in Device Policy when the user has activated ESET Endpoint Encryption.

See: Device Policy

Group Policy

Group Policy controls how ESET Endpoint Encryption functions and appears for the user, which menus and controls they have access to and the software environment while they are logged into EEE.
