Content unavailable

Content is unavailable due to insufficient access rights of the ESET PROTECT Web Console user. An administrator needs to set additional permissions for the user or you need to log in as another user with proper access rights.

There is a question related to connected computer(s) (see Questions section description below).

status_overview Status Overview contains the following sections:

Create different users and configure their permissions to allow different levels of management in ESET PROTECT On-Prem. The default ESET PROTECT On-Prem Administrator account was created during installation.

We do not recommend that you use the default ESET PROTECT On-Prem Administrator account as a normal user account. Click View Users and create a new native user account with two-factor authentication and use it as the default account in ESET PROTECT On-Prem.

If you want to use different certificates than the default ones provided by ESET PROTECT On-Prem, you can create Certification Authorities and Peer certificates for individual ESET PROTECT components to allow communication with ESET PROTECT Server.

ESET PROTECT On-Prem uses the ESET licensing system. Select the method you want to use to add License(s) for activation of ESET PROTECT components and ESET security products on client computers.

Add Computer—Add computers on your network to the ESET PROTECT On-Prem structure. You can Add Computers and Mobile devices manually or import a list of devices.

Add Rogue Computers—Automatically import computers detected using ESET RD Sensor.

New Synchronization Task—Run Static Group Synchronization with Active Directory, LDAP, VMware, etc.

Mobile devices

ESET PROTECT Mobile Device Management/Connector (MDM/MDC) component (on-premises only) reached End of Life in January 2024. Read more. We recommend that you migrate to Cloud MDM.

Download—If MDC is not installed, you can download the Mobile Device Connector installer from the ESET web.

Add Mobile Devices—Enroll mobile devices via email, via link or OR code, or as a Device Owner.

New Policy—Create a new policy for the ESET Management Agent to change the connection interval.

Deploy Agent—There are multiple ways to deploy the ESET Management Agent to client computers in your network.

ESET components and security products

New Policy—Create a new policy to change the configuration of the ESET security product installed on the client computers.

Configure Repository—Change ESET PROTECT Server Settings.

Install Software—With the ESET Management Agent deployed, you can install software directly from the ESET repository or specify an installation package location (URL or a shared folder).

If you manage devices encrypted with ESET Full Disk Encryption, use these options to avoid the loss of recovery data:

Export—Export your current ESET Full Disk Encryption recovery data before migrating encrypted managed computers.

Import—Import the ESET Full Disk Encryption recovery data after migrating encrypted managed computers to a new ESET PROTECT On-Prem instance.

Invalid Objects

Contains the list of client and server tasks, triggers, notifications or installers with references to unreachable or invalid objects. Click any of the result fields to view a menu with the selected list of objects.

External Services

ESET PROTECT On-Prem can be configured to connect to external services to provide full functionality.

Configure Repository—The repository contains installer files for other ESET security products that you can install using the install task. The repository is configured in More > Settings. If needed, you can create an offline repository.

Configure Updates—Updates are necessary for ESET PROTECT On-Prem to stay up to date. Updates are available only if ESET PROTECT On-Prem has imported a non-expired business product license. You can change your update settings in More > Settings.

Configure SMTP—Set up ESET PROTECT On-Prem to use your existing SMTP server to send email messages, for example Notifications, mobile device enrollment emails, Reports, etc.

When a cloned device or change of hardware is detected on a client device, a question is listed. Read more about resolving cloned computers.

MSP Status

If you import an MSP account, there is a tile with MSP statuses available.
