To unlock premium features, you need to activate ESET Mobile Security.

There are multiple ways to activate ESET Mobile Security. The availability of a specific activation method may vary depending on your country, as well as the means of distribution (ESET web page, Google Play). This scenario describes when the free version is used.

If you do not have a subscription yet

1.Tap the menu button hamburger_menu to open the main menu.

2.Tap subscription in the main menu.

3.In the Your subscription section, tap Upgrade to premium.

4.Choose from the the subscription offering. Tap the Upgrade to premium button to confirm the selected plan. Your Premium subscription will be renewed automatically until is canceled.

5.You will be directed to complete the purchase through Google Play.

6.You will receive a Google Play order receipt with your order number to the email address associated with your Google Play account. You will also receive an email from ESET (no reply) with your subscription information to this same email account. Save these emails for future reference.

7.Your product will activate automatically after the Google Play purchase is successful.

If you purchased a subscription through

An activation key is a unique string formatted: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, which is used to identify the subscription owner. You can find it in the email from ESET or the subscription card included in the purchased box.

If you already have a subscription

Activate ESET Mobile Security with a subscription already associated with ESET HOME

Follow the activation steps below if you already have a ESET Mobile Security subscription in your ESET HOME account, or you have installed ESET Mobile Security from the verification email sent from your or someone else's ESET HOME account:

1.Review your activation details in the ESET Mobile Security app, and tap Continue to agree the displayed email address will manage your device.


Activation details

When someone sends you the ESET protection via email, ESET Mobile Security will be managed by the sender's ESET HOME account. If you agree, disconnect the device from your ESET HOME account first. If you do not agree, tap Decline, and continue in the Start-up wizard with step 4. See our Knowledgebase article for illustrated instructions on disconnecting the device from your ESET HOME account (available in English and several other languages).

2.Create a nickname for your device, and tap Next.

3.When your activation is successful, tap Finish.

4.Tap Start first scan.

5.To properly work ESET Mobile Security, tap Continue to allow the All files access permission.

If an issue appears, and you are not able to associate ESET Mobile Security with your ESET HOME account, visit the Connecting to ESET HOME topic.

After activating the ESET Mobile Security with your ESET HOME account, you can manage the subscription in ESET HOME by tapping the menu icon hamburger_menu> ESET HOME > Manage in ESET HOME under your subscription.

Activation without ESET HOME

1.Go to the main menu by tapping the menu button hamburger_menu.

2.Tap subscription on the ESET Mobile Security home screen and select Enter an activation key.

3.Type your activation key in the field and tap Activate.

4.When your subscription verification is complete, Activation successful will be displayed.

5.Tap Finish to close the window.
