Transition to ESET PROTECT Hub (MSP)
Transition Overview
1.What is happening with ESET MSP Administrator 2?
ESET MSP Administrator 2 (EMA2) is being phased out. All license management will move to its successor, ESET PROTECT Hub (EPH).
2.Do I need to do anything to prepare for the transition?
No action is required. ESET will handle the migration automatically.
3.How will I know when my migration is scheduled?
Before the migration, you will receive emails about the upcoming transition, including the scheduled migration date, which will be shared approximately two weeks in advance.
4.How will I know when my account has been migrated?
After the migration, you will receive a confirmation email. At that point, access to older license portals will be disabled.
5.Can I still log in to ESET MSP Administrator 2 during the transition?
No. ESET MSP Administrator 2 and related cloud consoles (modules) will be temporarily unavailable during the transition. When complete, you will use ESET PROTECT Hub instead. To minimize disruption, we'll schedule the transition outside of business hours.
Access & Login
1.Which credentials do I use to log into ESET PROTECT Hub?
You will use your existing ESET MSP Administrator 2 credentials to log in to ESET PROTECT Hub.
2.Is there a new login page for ESET PROTECT Hub?
Yes. The email you receive after migration will include the correct login link. If you attempt to log in to ESET MSP Administrator 2 after the migration is completed, you will be automatically redirected to the new license management portal—ESET PROTECT Hub.
3.What if I do not receive the migration email?
First, check your spam or junk folder. If you still do not see it, contact ESET Support for help.
4.What about users who have access to both ESET MSP Administrator 2 and ESET Business Account?
If the accounts are linked through an ESET PROTECT instance, they will be merged. Users can change the persona via a drop-down menu to access both accounts.
For more details about hybrid scenarios, see the following Knowledgebase article: How hybrid ESET Business Account and ESET MSP Administrator 2 scenarios will work in ESET PROTECT Hub.
Licenses & Devices
1.What happens to my licenses after the transition?
All licenses from ESET MSP Administrator 2 will be moved to ESET PROTECT Hub automatically.
2.Will I lose any data or need to re-enter license information?
No. All license data and activated devices will be preserved during the transition to ESET PROTECT Hub.
However, license history will not be transferred to ESET PROTECT Hub. While your active licenses and associated devices remain intact, historical records related to license usage or changes will not be available in the new portal.
3.Will I need to reinstall any ESET products?
No. Your devices remain protected, and no reinstallation is needed.
4.Will my alerts and audit logs be migrated to ESET PROTECT Hub?
No, neither alerts nor audit logs will be transitioned from ESET MSP Administrator 2 to ESET PROTECT Hub.
If you require access to audit logs for special purposes (e.g., compliance, internal review), contact your local ESET Support and raise a support case. Audit logs can be exported On-demand when requested.
Cloud Consoles (Modules) & Services
1.What happens to my cloud consoles (modules)—ESET PROTECT, ESET Inspect, ESET Cloud Office Security, ESET Threat Intelligence?
They will be temporarily inaccessible during the transition, but will be available again in ESET PROTECT Hub when the migration is complete.
2.Will my modules still work during the transition?
Yes, they will continue to provide protection, even if you cannot access them temporarily.
3.Where do I find my modules in ESET PROTECT Hub?
After migration, you can access them from the main menu or the Product Navigator in ESET PROTECT Hub.
