Encrypted network traffic

If your system is configured to use SSL/TLS protocol scanning, a dialog window will prompt you to choose an action in two scenarios:

1. If a website presents an unverifiable or invalid certificate, and ESET Server Security is set to ask the user in such instances (by default, it prompts yes for unverifiable certificates and no for invalid ones), a dialog box will appear asking whether to Allow or Block the connection.

2. If the SSL/TLS mode is set to Interactive, a dialog box will appear for each website, asking whether to Scan or Ignore the traffic. Some applications require that their SSL traffic remains unmodified and uncompromised; in these cases, ESET Server Security must Ignore the traffic to ensure the application functions correctly.

In both situations, users have the option to remember their selected action. The saved actions will be stored in the Certificate rules.
