Status

A status summary for ESET Server Security will be displayed in the primary window with detailed information about your system. Normally, when everything is working without any issues, the protection status is MONITOR_GREEN green. However, the protection status might change in certain circumstances. Protection status will change to MONITOR_ORANGE orange or MONITOR_RED red warning message will be displayed if one of the following occurs:

Setting up ESET Server Security

We are setting up protection, and some features may not fully work yet. This process may take a little while. We will notify

you when the protection setup is complete.

Protection setup is slow

The protection setup is taking longer than usual and some features may not be fully working yet.

Protection setup failed

We could not set up protection. Some features may not be fully working.

Detection of potentially unwanted application is not configured

A potentially unwanted application (PUA) is a program that contains adware, installs toolbars or has other unclear objectives. There are some situations where a user may feel that the benefits of a potentially unwanted application outweigh the risks.

Real-time file system protection is paused

Click Enable Real-time protection in the Monitoring tab or re-enable Real-time file system protection in the Setup tab of the main program window.

Anti-Phishing protection is non-functional

This feature is not functional because other required program modules are not active.

ESET LiveGrid® is disabled

This problem is indicated when ESET LiveGrid® disabled in Advanced setup.

Protocol filtering is disabled

Click Enable Protocol filtering to re-enable this feature.

Operating system is not up to date

The System updates window shows the list of available updates ready to be downloaded and installed.

Presentation mode is enabled

All pop-up windows will be suppressed and scheduled tasks paused.

Network attack protection (IDS) is paused

Click Enable Network attack protection (IDS) to re-enable this feature.

Botnet protection is paused

Click Enable Botnet protection to re-enable this feature.

Web access protection is paused

Click Enable Web access protection in the Monitoring or re-enable Web access protection in the Setup pane of the main program window.

Device control is paused

Click Enable Device control to re-enable this feature.

Product not activated or License expired

This is indicated by the protection status icon turning red. The program is not able to update after the license expires. Follow the instructions in the alert window to renew your license.

Policy override active

The configuration set by the policy is temporarily overridden, possibly until troubleshooting is complete. If you are managing ESET Server Security using ESET PROTECT and have a policy assigned to it, the status link will be locked (grayed out) depending on what features belong to the policy.

Device restart recommended

Click Restart device if you want to restart your system immediately, or click Dismiss if you plan to restart later. This message may appear after Program Component Updates (PCU) and micro Program Component Updates (μPCU) were applied. See the Update configuration for details about PCU and μPCU.
