Activate ESET Endpoint Antivirus

After installation is complete, you will be prompted to activate your product.

There are several methods for activating your product. Availability of a specific activation scenario in the activation window may vary depending on the country and the means of distribution (ESET web page, installer type .msi or .exe, etc.).

You can activate ESET Endpoint Antivirus in the main program window > Help and support > Activate product or Protection status > Activate product.

You can use any of the following methods to activate ESET Endpoint Antivirus:

• Use a purchased activation key—A unique string in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX which is used to identify the subscription owner and to activate the subscription.
• Use your account—An ESET PROTECT HUB account which you have to create. ESET PROTECT HUB is a central gateway to the ESET PROTECT On-Prem unified security platform. It provides centralized identity, subscription and user management for all ESET platform modules. You can use this option to activate ESET Endpoint Antivirus with older license management tools: ESET Business Account or ESET MSP Administrator.
• Offline activation—Automatically generated file that will be transferred to the ESET application to provide subscription information. If a subscription allows you to download an offline activation file (.lf), that file can be used to perform offline activation. The number of offline activation files will be subtracted from the total number of available subscriptions. For more details about the generating an offline file, see the ESET Business Account Online user guide.

Click Activate later if your computer is a member of a managed network, and your administrator will perform remote activation via ESET PROTECT On-Prem. You can also use this option if you would like to activate this client at a later time.

You can change your subscription at any time in the main program window > Help and support > Change subscription. You will see the subscription code used to identify your subscription to ESET Support.
