Configuration of an application from ESET PROTECT On-Prem

You can use policies to configure your ESET application the same way you would from within the Advanced setup window of the application GUI. Unlike policies in Active Directory, ESET PROTECT On-Prem policies cannot carry any script or series of commands.

For ESET applications you can set certain statuses to be reported on the client or in the Web Console via the ESET application policy under Notifications > Application Statuses > Edit:

Show—status is reported on the client GUI

Send—status is reported to ESET PROTECT On-Prem

Examples of policy usage to configure ESET applications:

Create a Policy for ESET Management Agent connection interval

Create a Policy for ESET Management Agent to connect to the new ESET PROTECT Server

Create a Policy to enable ESET Management Agent Password protection
