Excluded applications
Use it to exclude communications for specific network-aware applications from protocol filtering. HTTP communication for the selected applications will not be scanned for threats. We recommend only using this technique when applications do not function properly with protocol filtering enabled.
To exclude application from scanning:
1.In the Web interface, click Setup.
2.Navigate to Protections > Web access protection and click Edit next to Excluded applications.
3.Click Add, define the Path to be skipped by the scanner.
4.Click OK, then click Save to close the dialog.
5.Click Save to save the changes.
Exclusion paths
/root/*—The "root" directory and all of its sub-directories and their content.
/root—The "root" file only.
/root/file.txt—The file.txt in "root" directory only.
Wildcards in the middle of a path We highly recommend that you do not use wildcards in the middle of a path (for example /home/user/*/data/file.dat) unless your system infrastructure requires it. See the following Knowledgebase article for more information. There are no restrictions to using wildcards in the middle of a path when using detection exclusions. |
