Microphone monitor

Microphone monitor provides another level of protection against unaccepted recording and activity monitoring via microphone. You can allow or block access to applications to the microphone.

Click the Enable Microphone Monitor toggle to enable the feature in ESET Safe Server; you must restart your device for this change to take effect. After enabling Microphone monitor, you can specify which applications will trigger microphone access notifications in the Rules editor window. All access events are recorded in Log files.

If a process or application connected to the microphone is detected, then a notification is displayed to inform you about this situation. You can create a rule by clicking Do not notify for this application or trigger an alert window by clicking End process accessing the microphone. Within the alert window, you can see more details and decide to end the process or cancel the alert window if you are certain about the application accessing the microphone.
