Safe Banking & Browsing

Safe Banking & Browsing provides a secured browser designed for safely accessing online banking, payment services and other sensitive websites.

Secured browser

By default, all supported web browsers, start in a secure mode. The secured browser is a protected environment that opens sensitive websites separately from your regular browsing session. It helps ensure that:

Your keystrokes cannot be intercepted.

Your session cannot be modified by malware.

Sensitive data (login credentials, card details, etc.) stays protected.

Important

ESET LiveGrid® reputation system must be enabled (enabled by default) to ensure that Safe Banking & Browsing works properly.

Secured browser configuration

To customize how the secured browser behaves, see Safe Banking & Browsing advanced setup.

If you disable Secure all browsers, you can still start the secured browser manually:

• In the main program window > Overview > Safe Banking & Browsing, or

• By clicking the Safe Banking & Browsing desktop icon Safe Banking and Browsing icon.

When launched, your default Windows browser opens in secure mode, providing a protected environment for sensitive browsing.

Supported browsers

The use of HTTPS-encrypted communication is necessary to perform protected browsing. Safe Banking & Browsing supports the following browsers:

Internet Explorer 8.0.0.0+

Microsoft Edge 94.0.0.0+
