Safe Banking & Browsing

Safe Banking & Browsing is an additional layer of protection designed to protect your financial data during online transactions.

By default, all supported web browsers start in a secure mode. This enables you to browse the internet, access internet banking, and make online purchases and transactions in one secured browser automatically.

important

ESET LiveGrid® reputation system must be enabled (enabled by default) to ensure that Safe Banking & Browsing works properly.

To configure the secured browser behavior, see Safe Banking & Browsing advanced setup. If you disable Secure all browsers you can access the secured browser in the main program window > Overview > Safe Banking & Browsing or by clicking the ICON_BPP Safe Banking & Browsing desktop icon. The browser, set as default in Windows, launches in a secure mode.

The use of HTTPS encrypted communication is necessary to perform protected browsing. The following browsers support Safe Banking & Browsing:

Internet Explorer 8.0.0.0+

Microsoft Edge 83.0.0.0+

Google Chrome 64.0.0.0+

Firefox 24.0.0.0+

note

Only Firefox and Microsoft Edge are supported on devices with ARM processors.
