Data Retention (Backup)

Retention periods for ESET Secure Authentication database backups and application telemetry are configured automatically. Users cannot adjust these periods.

Backup and recovery

Database backups are retained for 7 days and are restorable within the defined retention period.

Weekly backups are additionally retained for 4 weeks for extended recovery scenarios.

Backup data is encrypted at rest.

All backup data is stored and maintained within the service region.

Backups are maintained solely for service continuity and disaster recovery purposes. Restoration of individual customer-deleted items or configurations is not supported.

Backup access and version recovery

Backup copies are managed by the service provider and are not directly accessible to customers.

Restoration to a previous software version is not supported.

Version downgrade capabilities are not available.
