Configuration
The API is disabled by default and must be enabled before use. Once enabled, API credentials must be created to authorize requests.
Enabling API and configuring API credentials in ESA Web Console
- Launch the ESET Secure Authentication Web Console and navigate to the Settings > API Credentials.
- If prompted, select a company.
- Click the Create Credentials action to create a new set of credentials.
- Enter the desired name, select the Auth API, Management API or Synchronization API check box. Click Create.
- The account ID and password displays.
Be sure to save the password securely, it cannot be displayed again. |
- Select the check box next to the created credentials and click Enable.
- In the dialog box, click Enable.
To disable certain API credentials:
- Select the check box next to the particular credentials and click Disable.
- In the dialog box, click Disable.
API Credentials Many sets of API credentials may be created. It is recommended to create different sets for each application being protected, as well as for testing. |
