A computer restart is required after upgrading third-party apps to the new version or applying patches via Vulnerability & Patch management.

To disable the Restart required or Restart recommended alerts, follow these steps:

1.Open Advanced setup (F5) > Notifications > Interactive alerts.

2.Click Edit next to Interactive alerts. In the Computer section, deselect the check boxes next to Restart computer (required) and Restart computer (recommended).

3.Click OK to save your changes in both open windows.

4.The alerts will no longer appear.

5.If you also want to remove the application status in the main program window of ESET Server Security, go to the Application statuses window and deselect the check boxes next to Device restart required and Device restart recommended. This step is optional and affects only the visibility in the main window.

Some of the third-party apps may need to be closed before the upgrade. If this is the case, you will see a notification for 60 seconds before the app and its running background processes are stopped. You can plan the upgrade or patching accordingly, as the third-party apps will not be available for the duration of the upgrade.
