Add or edit network connection profile
A custom network connection profile enables you to apply Firewall rules, Brute-force attack protection rules and additional settings for specific network connections. In the Activators section, you will specify to which network connections the custom profile will be assigned.
Type the profile Name and Description.
Always trusted addresses—Addresses defined here are added to the trusted zone of adapters connected to this network (regardless of the network's protection type).
Trusted connection—Your computer and any shared files on it are accessible to other users on the network. This means that system resources, such as shared files and printers, can be accessed by others, and incoming RPC communication and remote desktop sharing are enabled. We recommend using this setting when establishing a secure local network connection profile. Additionally, all directly connected network subnets are considered trusted. For example, if a network adapter is connected to this network with the IP address 192.168.1.5 and the subnet mask 255.255.255.0, the subnet 192.168.1.0/24 is included in that network connection's trusted zone. If the adapter has additional addresses or subnets, all of them will also be trusted.
Report weak Wi-Fi encryption—ESET Server Security will display a desktop notification when you connect to an unprotected wireless network or network with weak protection.
Activators—Set a combination of attributes to create a unique activator.
