Web control

The Web Control section enables you to set up configurations that mitigate legal liability for your company. This feature can restrict access to websites that infringe on intellectual property rights. The primary aim is to prevent employees from visiting sites that contain inappropriate or harmful content, as well as those that could negatively affect productivity.

The Web control enables you to block web pages containing offensive material. Employers or system administrators can also restrict access to over 27 pre-defined website categories and more than 140 subcategories.

To activate Web control, start by enabling the feature. Next, you can configure access to specific web pages by clicking Edit next to Rules to open the Web control rules editor.

In this editor, you can customize the message and graphics that appear when a website is blocked. Modify the Blocked webpage message and Blocked webpage graphic fields. If you want to block all web pages except for a select few, you can manage this using the URL list management feature.
