Permission management
In Android 6 (Marshmallow), Google introduced a new Permission Management system and ESET Endpoint Security for Android is compatible with it. Apps designed for Android 6.0 will ask for permissions when you start using them. Instead of giving an app access during installation, you’ll be prompted the first time the app wants to access a specific device function.
ESET Endpoint Security for Android requires access to the following functions:
•Accessibility—required for the proper functionality of ESET Anti-Phishing
•Contacts—required for Anti-Theft and Call Filter
•Location—Anti-Theft
•Phone—Anti-Theft and Call Filter
•SMS—Anti-Theft and Call Filter
•Storage—Antivirus and Anti-Theft
Admin is allowed to disable monitoring of these permissions in Settings > Permission notifications.
