User Interface
To configure the ESET Endpoint Security remotely:
1.In ESET PROTECT, click Policies > New policy and type a name for the policy.
To adjust the settings in an existing policy for ESET Endpoint for macOS (V7+), click the policy you want to change in the list of policies and click Edit > Settings. |
2.Click Settings and select ESET Endpoint for macOS (V7+) from the drop-down menu.
3.Adjust the desired settings.
4.Click Continue > Assign and select the appropriate group of computers.
5.Click Finish.

In User Interface, you can configure the following settings:
User Interface elements
Allow a user to open graphical user interface – Disable this setting to prevent users from accessing the GUI. This can be useful in managed environments or in situations where you need to preserve system resources.
Show icon in menu bar extras – Disable this setting to remove ESET Endpoint Security icon from the Menu Bar Extras of the macOS Menu Bar (at the top of the screen).
Notifications
Display notifications on desktop – Desktop notifications (such as successful update messages, virus scan tasks completion, or new threats found) are represented by a small pop-up window next to the macOS Menu Bar. If enabled, ESET Endpoint Security can inform you when a new event occurs.
Statuses
Application statuses – Click Edit to configure which application statuses will display a notification in the Protection Status window and which application statuses will be reported to the ESET PROTECT Web Console.
