Allow System Extensions
If you are installing ESET Endpoint Security for the first time, you must allow System Extensions to be fully protected.
Make sure ESET Endpoint Security is activated before you follow the steps to allow system extension. |
1.Open System Settings. 2.Select General from the left menu. 3.Select Login Items & Extensions and scroll down to Extensions. 4.Click on the information symbol next to Endpoint Security Extensions, use the toggle to turn on ESET Real-time File System Protection. Use your Touch ID or click Use Password, type in your Password and click OK. Click Done. 5.Click on the information symbol next to Network Extensions, use the toggle to turn on ESET Web and Email Protection. Use your Touch ID or click Use Password, type in your Password and click OK. 6.An ESET Endpoint Security alert might show up requesting to access data from other apps, select Allow. 7.When the ESET Web and Email Protection alert prompts you to Add proxy configuration, select Allow. 8.Use the toggle to turn on ESET Network Access Protection. Use your Touch ID or click Use Password, type in your Password and click OK. 9.When a notification appears that ESET Endpoint Security Would Like to Filter Network Content, click Allow. Otherwise the firewall will not work. 10.An alert window might appear stating that Your device is connecting to a new network, specify if the network you are connected to is Private or Public. 11.Click Done. |
macOS Ventura (13) or macOS Sonoma (14)
1.Open System Settings. 2.Select Privacy & Security from the menu on the left. 3.Scroll down to the Security section, click the Details button underneath the note Some system software requires your attention before it can be used.
4.Use your Touch ID or click Use Password, type your User Name and Password and click Unlock. 5.Enable ESET Real-time File System Protection, ESET Web and Email Protection and ESET Network Access Protection by clicking the toggles. 6.Click OK. 7.The ESET Web and Email Protection alert is displayed, prompting you to add proxy configuration, select Allow. If you do not allow proxy configuration when the alert is shown, you will need to restart your computer to initiate the alert and have the option to allow proxy configuration again. |
1.Open System Preferences. 2.Select Security & Privacy. 3.Click the lock icon at the bottom left to allow changes in the settings window. 4.Use your Touch ID or click Use Password and type your User Name and Password, then click Unlock. 5.Click Details. 6.Select all ESET Endpoint Security options. 7.Click OK. |
