Malware Scans

The On-demand scanner is an important part of your antivirus solution because it performs scans of files and folders on your computer. From a security standpoint, computer scans must be performed regularly as part of routine security measures, not only when an infection is suspected. In the Malware scans section, you can configure options for On-demand scan profiles:

List of profiles—To create a new or remove an existing profile list, select or . When adding a new profile list, type a name for the profile and click OK. The new profile will be displayed in the selected profile drop-down menu that lists existing scan profiles.

ThreatSense Parameters—Scan profile configuration options, such as file extensions you want to control, objects to scan, detection methods used, etc.
