Transition to ESET PROTECT Hub

Transition Overview

1.What is happening with ESET Business Account?

ESET Business Account (EBA) is being phased out. All license management will move to its successor, ESET PROTECT Hub.

2.Do I need to do anything to prepare for the transition?

No action is required. ESET will handle the transition automatically.

3.How will I know when my transition is scheduled?

About two weeks before the transition, you will receive an email about the upcoming transition, including the scheduled transition date.

4.How will I know when my account has been transitioned?

After the transition, you will receive a confirmation email. At that point, access to ESET Business Account will be disabled.

5.Can I still log in to ESET Business Account during the transition?

No. ESET Business Account and related cloud consoles (modules) will be temporarily unavailable during the transition. When the transition is complete, you will use ESET PROTECT Hub instead. To minimize disruption, we will schedule the transition outside of business hours.

Access & Login

6.Which credentials do I use to log in to ESET PROTECT Hub?

You will use your existing ESET Business Account credentials to log in to ESET PROTECT Hub.

7.Is there a new login page for ESET PROTECT Hub?

Yes. The email you receive after transition will include the correct login link. If you attempt to log in to ESET Business Account after the transition is completed, you will be automatically redirected to the new license management portal—ESET PROTECT Hub.

8.What if I do not receive the transition email?

First, check your spam or junk folder. If you still do not see it, contact ESET Support for help.

Licenses & Devices

9.What happens to my licenses after the transition?

All licenses from ESET Business Account will be moved to ESET PROTECT Hub automatically. License validity and expiration dates remain unchanged.

10. Will I lose any data or need to re-enter license information?

No. All license data and activated devices will be preserved during the transition to ESET PROTECT Hub.

11. What happens to devices activated by offline license files?

They remain activated. Offline license files are also transitioned to ESET PROTECT Hub.

12. What about devices activated by whitelisted offline license files?

These devices remain active but will not appear in ESET PROTECT Hub. You can still generate new offline license files in the new system.

13. Will I need to reinstall any ESET products?

No. Your devices remain protected, and no reinstallation is needed.

14. Will my alerts and audit logs be transitioned to ESET PROTECT Hub?

No, neither alerts nor audit logs will be transitioned from ESET Business Account to ESET PROTECT Hub.

If you require access to audit logs for special purposes (for example, compliance or internal review), contact your local ESET Support and open a support case. Audit logs can be exported on demand after a request.

Cloud Consoles (Modules) & Services

15. What happens to my cloud consoles (modules)—ESET PROTECT, ESET Inspect, ESET Cloud Office Security, ESET Threat Intelligence?

They will be temporarily inaccessible during the transition but will be available again in ESET PROTECT Hub when transition is complete.

16. Will my modules still work during the transition?

Yes. They will continue to provide protection, even if you cannot access them temporarily.

17. Where do I find my modules in ESET PROTECT Hub?

After transition, you can access them from the main menu or the product navigator in ESET PROTECT Hub.

Account Types & Special Cases

18. What if I use both ESET Business Account and ESET MSP Administrator 2?

If your accounts are linked through an ESET PROTECT instance, they will be merged. Otherwise, you can switch between them in ESET PROTECT Hub using a drop-down menu. 19. What happens to my ESET Business Account after the transition?

Your ESET Business Account will no longer be accessible after the transition. All license management will take place in ESET PROTECT Hub.

After the Transition

20. Can I still manage licenses the same way in ESET PROTECT Hub?

Yes. ESET PROTECT Hub offers the same core features with a more modern interface and added capabilities.

21. What should I do if I run into issues after transition?
