Device management
To manage your devices with the ESET DEM plugin for Kaseya VSA X, create an Organization, Site and Agent Group and assign the devices to the Organization. When done, set Organization Custom Fields values.
Create Organization, Site and Agent Group
Optional steps Create an Organization, Site and Agent Group only if they are not already configured in your Kaseya VSA X environment. |
1.Click Configuration > Organizations.
2.Click + Add. Use the drop-down menu to select the Organization.
3.Type the organization Name.
4.Select Organization Type from the drop-down menu.
5.Click Add. A blue notification message will appear: Add Organization command executed successfully.
6.Click Add Site.
7.Type the site Name.
8.Click Add. A blue notification message will appear: Add Site command executed successfully.
9.Click Add Agent Group.
10. Type the agent group Name.
11. Click Add.
A blue notification message will appear: Add Agent Group command executed successfully.
Assign a device to the Organization
Deploy Kaseya VSA X agent first To manage devices by ESET DEM plugin for Kaseya VSA X, deploy the Kaseya VSA X agent to the devices first so they are visible in the Devices > Device Management list. You can download the Windows 64-bit/32-bit version of the agent in the Configuration > Organizations. Navigate the Configuration tree, All Organizations > (the desired) Organization > Site > Agent Group, Downloads tab. |
1.Click Devices > Device Management.
2.Select the check box next to the desired device(s).
3.Click the Actions drop-down menu, select Move devices in the Inventory Management section.
4.In the next window, click the Agent Group drop-down menu to select the desired agent group.
5.Click Move.
6.In the Move Devices window, select the check box next to I am sure that I want to move these devices.
7.Click Confirm.
Set Organization Custom Fields value
1.Click Configuration > Organizations.
2.Click the desired organization in the All Organizations Configuration tree.
3.Click Custom Fields.
4.Click Edit.
5.Click Assign Custom Field.
6.In the next window, use the Custom Fields drop-down menu to select the first value (for example, ESET License). In the Value section, keep Enter manually selected and type the license string value in the correct format into the text field. Click Add.
7.Click Save.
A blue notification message will appear: Update Organization command executed successfully.
Repeat steps Repeat these steps for each custom field value you want to add to the selected organization based on the desired action to be available. |
