Create custom fields
Create device-level custom fields for the ESET DEM plugin for Kaseya VSA X to use. When done, create organization-level custom fields, configure their values and assign them to the specific organization.
Create device-level custom fields
ERMMA writes the system-specific data into the device-level fields directly, so no additional configuration is needed when setting them up. ERMMA will write out the system-specific data in those fields when called.
To create device-level custom fields:
1.Click Automation > Custom Fields.
2.Click Create Custom Field.
3.In the next window, in the Details section, type the custom field Display Name from the table below. (Optional) Type the custom field Description.
4.In the Variable Details section, click the Type drop-down menu and select the Type custom field from the table below. NOTE: You can set the Default Value based on your environment needs.
5.Select the check box next to System in the Context section and deselect any other option.
6.Click Create.

Create organization-level custom fields
Organization-level fields are used as configuration parameters passed into ERMMA and applied across the entire organization. These include onboarding and deployment parameters, such as product, language, licensing information and parameters used for running scans, targets and profiles.
To create organization-level custom fields:
1.Click Automation > Custom Fields.
2.Click Create Custom Field.
3.In the next window, in the Details section, type the custom field Display Name from the table below. (Optional) Type the custom field Description.
4.In the Variable Details section, click the Type drop-down menu and select the custom field Type from the table below.
5.In the Context section, select the check box next to Organization and deselect any other option.
6.(Optional) Click the toggle next to Expires and type the desired number next to Reset value after for the ESET Last Task Result custom field only.
7.Click Create.

Configure and assign organization-level custom fields
To view and modify organization-level custom fields for specific Kaseya VSA X organization:
1.Click Configuration > Organizations, and from the navigation tree Configuration, select the desired organization name you want to modify.
2.Click the Custom Fields tab > Edit.
3.To assign a new custom field to the organization, click the Assign Custom Field. On the next screen, use the Custom Field drop-down menu to select the previously created organization-level custom field. To set the Value, click the Enter manually option. (Optional) Select the Use default option to use the default value set while creating the organization-level custom field. Select the Leave empty option to leave this value empty. When done, click Add.
4.(Optional) To edit the existing custom field, hover the mouse over the already assigned custom field line and click Edit in the Actions column. Type the new Value. When done, click Save.
5.Click Save to confirm the changes and to leave the editor mode.
