Create or edit a policy
You use the three-step wizard when you create, duplicate, or edit a policy. See the section descriptions below.
Basic section
1.Type an appropriate Name for your policy.
2.Provide a Description of the policy. This step is optional.
3.Select the applicable ESET application. The Product drop-down menu is active only when creating a new policy. You cannot change the application if you edit or duplicate a policy. The following applications are available:
•ESET Endpoint for Windows
•ESET Endpoint for macOS (OS X)
•ESET Endpoint for Linux
•ESET Server Security for Windows Server (V6+)
•ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (V6+).
4.Click Continue.


Settings section
In the Settings section, you create the policy by modifying the default settings. The available settings are the same as settings available locally for the application. For more detailed information about settings, see the application Online Help documentation. When you finish with the settings, click Continue.

Assign section
In the Assign section, select one or more groups (as available in Kaseya VSA) where the policy is assigned (applied). The policy works only on machines with a compatible ESET application.
1.Select one or more groups.
2.Click Finish to save the changes.
