VPN
A VPN, short for "Virtual Private Network", is a technology that allows a secure and encrypted connection between a user's device and a remote server.
The main goal of a VPN is to provide users with greater privacy, security and anonymity during their internet traffic.
VPNs create the illusion that users are connected to the same private network when they are actually in different locations.
In this way, users can mask their real IP address and conduct internet activity in a way that is harder to track or filter by third parties, including ISPs, governments and cyber attackers.
Why use a VPN
•Securing public Wi-Fi networks—A VPN encrypts data traffic between the device and the server, protecting users from potential attacks and eavesdropping on public Wi-Fi networks.
•A VPN allows users to connect to servers in other countries, bypassing geo-restrictions and accessing content that would otherwise be unavailable.
•Privacy—A VPN hides a user's IP address and encrypts their internet traffic, minimizing the possibility of ISPs and other third parties monitoring their online activity.
•Ensuring secure connections to corporate networks—For businesses, a VPN allows employees to remotely access corporate data and networks from different locations and secure these connections.
