Update failed

If application modules fail to update, the dashboard displays one of the following notifications:

Recent update attempts failed—ESET Server Security for Linux could not connect to the update server to check for the latest detection engine updates.

Detection Engine out of date—The detection engine has not received an update for an extended period.

To resolve the update failure:

1.Confirm that the device has a working network connection.

2.Confirm that your firewall, proxy, or other network security controls allow connections to update.eset.com.

3.Confirm that your application subscription is valid and has not expired.

4.Confirm that the device has sufficient free disk space.

5.Review the error details in the application interface or event log to identify the cause of the update failure.

6.Click Check and update to update the application modules again.

If the update remains on the same module version or continues to fail, contact your local ESET partner for support. Include the error details from the product interface or event log in your support request.
