ESET Secure Authentication provides 2FA for the following Microsoft products:

•Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016/2019/Server Subscription Edition (SE)

oOutlook Web App-Exchange Mailbox Server Role (MBX)

oExchange Admin Center

Where is 2FA applicable

ESA adds 2FA protection only to the web-based interface of Outlook Web Access. Login to Microsoft Outlook and similar email clients cannot be protected by ESA, due to the nature of their protocol, also known as RPC over HTTPS. We recommend not exposing such email clients to external access. See how to control access to Exchange Web Services.
