Server prerequisites - Windows

The following prerequisites must be met to install ERA Server on Windows:

You must have a valid license.

Required ports must be open and available—see the complete list of ports here.

Database server (Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL) installed and running, see database requirements for details. If you do not have an existing database server, we recommend you to review the SQL Server configuration details in to have SQL properly configured for use with ESET Remote Administrator. Database and database user can be created during the installation or before.

Java/OpenJDK must be installed.

Starting January 2019, Oracle JAVA SE 8 public updates for business, commercial or production use will require a commercial license. If you do not purchase a JAVA SE subscription, you can use this guide to transition to a no-cost alternative.

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 must be installed, if you are running Windows Server 2008 and later you can install it using the Roles and Features Wizard (as shown below), if you are using Windows Server 2003, you can download .NET 3.5 here:
