Database protection
Here you will find database protection settings. Database communication (reading/writing) monitoring is enabled by default.
Action to take if cleaning not possible:
•No action—Takes no action on the infected message content
•Quarantine note—Sends the note to quarantine (eQuarantine.nsf by default)
•Delete object—Deletes only the infected object from the note; this does not apply to RFC notes, which can only be completely deleted
•Replace content with action information—Replaces infected object content with infection information (and the action taken)
•Delete note—Deletes the whole note
•Move note to trash—Places the infected note into the Notes client trash
Action to take on phishing message:
•No action—No changes in the message will apply
•Quarantine note—Sends the note to the quarantine (eQuarantine.nsf by default)
•Delete note—The whole note is deleted
•Move note to trash—The infected note is placed into the Notes client trash
Scan OLE objects
If this option is selected, the Antivirus protection will scan OLE (Object linking and embedding) objects/documents.
Max file size limit
Specify a limit for files that are processed by ESET Mail Security. Default value 0 means no limit; all files are processed regardless of their size.
Select the databases that will be completely excluded from Antivirus and antispyware scanning and filtering by user-defined rules. Be careful about the databases you exclude because exclusions represent a potential security risk.
