Device Settings Check

Checks key settings on your device and flags anything that needs to be fixed.

Screen Lock

The feature checks the current screen-lock method and classifies it:

•Checkmark Passcode/Biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID)—Safe

•Warning grey No screen lock—Risk

If no screen lock is set, you are prompted to enable one with clear benefits, such as protecting personal data (photos, messages, banking apps) if the device is lost. It also highlights that without a screen lock, Find My cannot be enabled, limiting the ability to locate a lost or stolen device.

Notifications

Verifies whether the app can send notifications and warn you about unsafe behavior:

•Checkmark Enabled—Safe (you are receiving security alerts and updates)

•Warning grey Disabled—Warning (you may miss important threat alerts)

Storage

Storage usage checks help ensure the device has enough free space to remain secure and perform well. It mainly alerts you if important OS updates cannot be installed, as these often include critical security fixes. It also helps prevent slow performance and everyday issues caused by low storage, and guides you with simple steps to free up space. There are three storage status levels:

•Checkmark Safe—sufficient for all updates

•Info Safe with warning—may not support major updates

•Warning yellow Warning - low storage—risk of performance issues and limited usability
