ESET Mobile Security – Table of Contents

Activation

To unlock premium features, you need to activate ESET Mobile Security.

There are multiple ways to activate ESET Mobile Security. The availability of a specific activation method may vary depending on your country, as well as the means of distribution (ESET web page, Google Play). This scenario describes when the free version is used.

If you do not have a subscription yet

1.Tap the menu button Hamburger menu to open the main menu.

2.Tap Log in to ESET HOME under Account section.

3.In the Subscription section, tap View subscription details and then tap Upgrade subscription.

4.Choose from the the subscription offering. Tap the 30 days for free, then (price) / year button to confirm the selected plan. Your Premium subscription will be renewed automatically until is canceled.

5.You will be directed to complete the purchase through Google Play.

6.You will receive a Google Play order receipt with your order number to the email address associated with your Google Play account. You will also receive an email from ESET (no reply) with your subscription information to this same email account. Save these emails for future reference.

7.Your product will activate automatically after the Google Play purchase is successful.

If you purchased a subscription through ESET.com:

An activation key is a unique string formatted: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, which is used to identify the subscription owner. You can find it in the email from ESET or the subscription card included in the purchased box.

If you already have a subscription

Activate ESET Mobile Security with a subscription already associated with ESET HOME

Follow the activation steps below if you already have a ESET Mobile Security subscription in your ESET HOME account, or you have installed ESET Mobile Security from the verification email sent from your or someone else's ESET HOME account:

1.Tap the menu button Hamburger menu to open the main menu.

2.Tap Log in to ESET HOME under Account section.

3.Tap Log in to ESET HOME under ESET HOME Account section and log in using one of the options displayed. More information on the log in options can be found in the Start-up wizard chapter.

4.You will get a confirmation that your device was successfully added to ESET HOME. Tap OK.

5.In the Subscription section, tap View subscription details. Here you can manage your subscription and easily renew, upgrade or adjust your plan as needed. Click Subscriptions available in ESET HOME to use any of the subscriptions already added to your account to activate protection. Click Select and continue to activate your protection using ESET HOME account. Or click I have an activation key to use it to activate your protection.

6.Review your activation details before activating protection and make any necessary updates.

Activation details

When someone sends you the ESET protection via email, ESET Mobile Security will be managed by the sender's ESET HOME account. If you agree, disconnect the device from your ESET HOME account first. If you do not agree, tap Decline, and continue in the Start-up wizard with step 6. See our Knowledgebase article for illustrated instructions on disconnecting the device from your ESET HOME account (available in English and several other languages).

7.Tap Activate protection.

If an issue appears, and you are not able to associate ESET Mobile Security with your ESET HOME account, visit the Connecting to ESET HOME topic.

Activation without ESET HOME

1.Go to the main menu by tapping the menu button Hamburger menu.

2.Tap Log in to ESET HOME under Account section.

3.In the Subscription section, tap View subscription details.

4.Tap I have an activation key at the bottom of the screen.

5.Type your activation key in the field and tap Continue.

6.When your subscription verification is complete, Activation successful will be displayed.

7.Tap Finish to close the window.
