How to create a new Site

You use a Site to manage the products and licenses in the Product Licenses section of EMA.

For ERA version 5 users, only one (1) Site is needed to manage MSP licenses. For ERA version 6 users, we recommend that you create one (1) Site with its own license pool for each customer for advanced/improved reporting and management of customers.

 

To create a new Site, follow the instructions below:

1.Click the Sites tab Sites icon and then click New Site.

2.Typically, the Company name will be preselected. If you are able to choose your Company, search for your Company by typing the name in the Company field and selecting the name from the results.

3.Type in a Name to identify the Site. You can use a name to reference the Site by (for example, for usage reporting).

4.The Support ERA Key option will be preselected for you if you are transfering from the previous MLS system with existing ERA Keys. If you are creating a new license, you should not select this option.

5.Expand the ESET License Administrator section. Create or add an existing Security Admin (from ELA) to retrieve licenses from ELA/ERA (see the topic How to manage MSP licenses with ERA for more information).

After you have created a Site, you can add, change, suspend or cancel licenses from the Product Licenses section. See the section Managing Licenses for instructions.

Editing or creating a Site—Interface options

The table below provides an overview of the Sites section user interface when editing a Site or creating a new Site.

Description

Basic > Company

This is the Company name you selected when you signed up as an ESET MSP or were assigned by your parent Company.

Basic > Name

You can use a name to reference the Site by (for example, for usage reporting).
NOTE: Name can only be alphanumeric with underscores and dashes.

Basic > Legacy Support

The Support ERA Key option will be preselected for you if you are migrating from the previous MLS system with existing ERA Keys. If you are creating a new license, you should not select this option.

ESET License Administrator

Create or add an existing Security Admin (from ELA) to retrieve licenses from ELA/ERA (see the topic How to manage MSP licenses with ERA for more information).

Product Licenses

You manage your licenses in this section. You can add new ESET products, cancel a license and change license quantities. See the section Managing Licenses for more information.
You can also extend, cancel and convert trial licenses. For more information, see the topic How to create a trial, cancel or convert a license from trial to full.

Send Email

Clicking Send Email will send the Site details to the email address on file for that Company.
