Web control
The Web control section enables you to configure settings that protect your company from the risk of legal liability. Web control can regulate access to websites that violate intellectual property rights. The goal is to prevent employees from accessing pages with inappropriate or harmful content or pages that may have a negative impact on productivity.
The Web control enables you to block web pages containing offensive material. Employers or system administrators can also restrict access to over 27 pre-defined website categories and over 140 subcategories.
Web control is disabled by default. To enable Web control, first activate the feature. Then, configure access to specific web pages by clicking Edit next to Rules to open the Web control rules editor.
You can customize the message and graphics that appear when a website is blocked. Modify the Blocked webpage message and Blocked webpage graphic fields. If you want to block all web pages and leave only certain available, use the URL list management feature.
