Activation via Terminal
Use the sudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic utility as a privileged user to activate ESET Endpoint Security from a Terminal window.
Syntax: sudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic [OPTIONS]
Example The commands below have to be executed as a privileged user. Activation using a License Keysudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic -k XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX or sudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic --key XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX while XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX represents your ESET Endpoint Security License Key. Activation using an EBA or EMA account1.Execute: sudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic -u your@username where your@username represents your EBA or EMA account username. Type in your password and press Enter. A list of available EES license IDs and sites (license pool) will display. The first license ID is pool_ID and second is public_ID. 2.Type in the command as shown below followed by your EBA or EMA account username, and either your public_ID(-p XXX-XXX-XXX) or pool_ID(-i XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX). sudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic -u your@username -p XXX-XXX-XXX sudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic -u your@username -i XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX 3.Type in your password again, press Enter, and wait for a message that says Activation completed successfully. Activation via an offline filesudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic -f ofline_license.lf or sudo /Applications/ESET\ Endpoint\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/lic --file=offline.license.lf |
