Applications Auto-Patch Management Customization

Auto-patch strategy

The Patch only allowed applications option only updates applications on the Allowed applications list.

The Patch all except excluded applications option updates all applications except those on the Excluded applications list.

Allowed applications

Here you can specify which applications are safe to be updated automatically.

Excluded applications

Here you can specify which applications are too essential to be updated automatically.

Patching behavior when apps are running

Default patching strategy

When an app is running, you can choose to force close it immediately, show a prompt before closing, or skip patching altogether. Select either Prompt before force close, Force close immediately or Don’t patch if running.

Apps with prompted force-close behavior

A prompt will always be shown before force closing these apps, regardless of the selected patching strategy.

Prompt timeout before force close

Default value is 1 day, you can choose between 1 hour, 5 hours, 1 day or 3 days.
