Introduction to ESET Endpoint Encryption Client (managed)

ESET Endpoint Encryption is a comprehensive security application designed to protect your data when stored and during transfer.

ESET Endpoint Encryption encrypts files, folders and emails. With ESET Endpoint Encryption, you can create encrypted virtual disks, compress archives and include a desktop shredder for secure file deletion. A patented encryption key sharing system means effortless sharing of encrypted files, email, and media. It also requires remembering fewer passwords and provides an exceptionally intuitive user experience.

Managed user

A managed user is a user under the full control of an administrator.

An administrator remotely manages the installation for users using the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server. ESET Endpoint Encryption Server communicates changes made by an administrator so that systems used or kept off-site are always up to date. A managed installation limits user settings but includes many security policies enforced by the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server.

The administrator decides which functions the user can use and can apply many operational policies to that user.

note

Managed users do not need to back up recovery passwords or encryption keys.
