Connectivity

To modify ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux configuration in the Connectivity section, use ESET PROTECT.

Proxy Server

Configure ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux to use your proxy server (for example, ESET Bridge) to connect to the internet or the defined update servers (mirror). To adjust Proxy Server parameters:

1.In ESET PROTECT On-Prem, click Policies > Add. In ESET PROTECT, click Configuration > the Advanced setup tab > New Policy.

2.Type a name for the policy.

3.Click Settings and select ESET Endpoint for Linux (V7+) from the drop-down menu.

4.Click Connectivity > Proxy server.

5.Enable Use proxy server.

6.Type the IP address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the Proxy server.

7.Adjust the Port (default: 3128).

8.Click Edit next to Certificate Authorities and add the ESET PROTECT Certification Authority to enable HTTPS traffic caching.

9.If you use a Username and Password for the Proxy server, type them in the appropriate fields. (Enable the toggle next to Proxy server requires authentication).

10. Keep the toggle next to Use direct connection if proxy is not available enabled to allow this fallback option (recommended). If the proxy is unreachable, ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux will bypass the proxy and communicate directly with ESET servers.

11. Click Continue > Assign, select the desired group of computers the policy will apply to.

12. Click OK, then click Finish.
