Upgrade to the later version
New versions of ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux are issued to implement improvements or fix issues that cannot be resolved by automatic updates to modules.
Which application version is currently installed?
To determine the application version of EEAU, you have two options:
1.Execute /opt/eset/eea/lib/egui -v in a Terminal window.
2.Check in ESET PROTECT in the Computers section.
How to upgrade?
To upgrade to a more recent version, run an OS-related installation package as described in the Installation section.
If managing ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux through ESET PROTECT , you can initiate upgrade via Software install task, or via Dashboard > ESET applications > click ESET Endpoint Antivirus > Update installed ESET applications.
Deployments and updates performed via ESET PROTECT (including the Live Installer) extract the full .bin package to the system's temporary directory /tmp. Insufficient space can cause installations and updates failure with a No space left on device error. For ESET PROTECT deployments and updates in the system's temporary directory /tmp: •1 GiB of free space is insufficient • 2 GiB of free space is the required minimum •4 GiB of free space is the recommended space for stable installation, updates and runtime operation |
