Installation without Web access protection

If you are experiencing issues with the Web access protection feature or its dependencies, you can install the product without this feature using the environment variable ESET_DISABLE_WAP=1.

Solution

To install the product without web access protection, follow the steps below depending on your current user permissions:

As a privileged user

Execute the following command from a Terminal window as a privileged user:

ESET_DISABLE_WAP=1 sudo -E ./eeau_x86_64.bin

As the root user

Execute the following command from a Terminal window as the root user:

ESET_DISABLE_WAP=1 ./eeau_x86_64.bin

•Installation without web access protection is permanent, and upgrades without the environment variable ESET_DISABLE_WAP=1 do not enable it, and it will install only necessary web access protection dependencies.

•Product upgrades need to be done always with the environment variable ESET_DISABLE_WAP=1.

•Clean installation is needed for product with web access protection.
