Deployment via ESET management console

ESET Endpoint Antivirus for macOS requires privileges settings that prevent it from being fully installed remotely without your device being enrolled in MDM. If your device is enrolled in MDM, you can use the MDM to distribute these settings via configuration profiles. If your device is not enrolled in MDM, these privileges settings must be allowed manually on each computer.

ESET PROTECT On-Prem

Before deploying ESET Endpoint Antivirus for macOS via ESET PROTECT On-Prem, you need to distribute ESET Management Agent to the target computer.

1.To install ESET Management Agent, create Agent Live Installer.

2.Download the macOS Agent Live Installer.

3.Extract the .sh script from the downloaded .tar.gz archive.

4.Deploy and run the .sh script on the target computer to install the Agent. If you use Jamf as your MDM, you can use Jamf to deploy and run the script.

5.After the Agent is installed on the target computer, the computer will be visible in ESET PROTECT On-Prem.

To install ESET Endpoint Antivirus for macOS create and run Software install task in ESET PROTECT On-Prem.

ESET PROTECT

You can install ESET Endpoint Antivirus for macOS via ESET PROTECT and the ESET Management Agent at the same time by creating a live installer.

If you own a license connected to your ESET PROTECT On-Prem or ESET PROTECT, the license will be automatically added to the installation package, and ESET Endpoint Antivirus for macOS will activate automatically.
