Firewall
The firewall controls all network traffic to and from the system by allowing or denying individual network connections based on specified filtering rules. In addition, the firewall protects against attacks from remote computers and enables the blocking of some services.
Scanning exceptions ESET Cyber Security Pro does not scan the encrypted protocols HTTPS, POP3S, and IMAPS. |
You can find the firewall configuration in Setup > Firewall. Here you can adjust the filtering mode, rules, and more detailed program settings.
If you switch Block all network traffic: disconnect network to ENABLED, the firewall blocks all inbound and outbound communication. Use this option only if you suspect critical security risks requiring the system to disconnect from the network.
How to disable firewall Disabling the firewall is not recommended except for the purposes of diagnosing/troubleshooting system problems. Use the instructions in our knowledge base page with caution and re-enable the firewall as soon as possible. |
