User Interface elements

Allow a user to open graphical user interface – Disable this setting to prevent users from accessing the GUI. This can be useful in managed environments or in situations where you need to preserve system resources.

Show icon in menu bar extras – Disable this setting to remove ESET Cyber Security icon from the Menu Bar Extras of the macOS Menu Bar (at the top of the screen).

Notifications

Display notifications on desktop – Desktop notifications (such as successful update messages, virus scan tasks completion, or new threats found) are represented by a small pop-up window next to the macOS Menu Bar. If enabled, ESET Cyber Security can inform you when a new event occurs.
