Performance Exclusions

In the Performance Exclusions section you can exclude certain files and folders from scanning. By excluding paths (folders) from being scanned, the time needed to scan the file system for the presence of malware can be significantly decreased.

• – Creates a new exclusion. Use drag-and-drop to add a new exclusion, or enter the path to an object or folder. Use the following formats /path/folder_name/* or /path/filename (example:/Users/username/Downloads).

• – Removes selected entries.
