Create a new role and define its parameters. Modify an existing role, or use the duplicate feature to create a new role based on an existing one, then modify its parameters.

1.Click New Role and define custom parameters: Targets, Assignments, and Permissions.

2.Type Role name and Description.

3.Select Targets by enabling Include all tenants to allow the permissions for all tenants and groups, or manually select Included tenants and Included groups.

4.Under Assignments, click the Assigned portal account to select the portal accounts to which this role is assigned to.

5.Define Permissions by using available check boxes for Read/Write/Use action to customize the permissions as required. ESET Cloud Office Security permissions are divided into categories: Users, Teams & Sites, Detections, Quarantine, Scan logs, Reports, Policies, Subscription management, Audit log, Settings, and Global.

•Read permission allows the account to read for the specified targets.

•Write permissions for the account to read or edit Syslog or manage Access control for the specified targets.

•Use permissions allows the account to use actions: Add/Create/Edit/Remove for the specified targets. With the exception of Syslog and Access control.

List of available permissions:

Teams & Sites	•View necessary information about the Team groups or SharePoint sites.
Detections	•View detailed information about detection.		•Use the Remove whitelisted action to remove a file from the whitelist. •You can add detected file attachments to the exclusion list of an existing policy.
Quarantine	•View detailed information about the quarantined email message.		•Delete/Release/Download item from quarantine. •Release & approve sender •Show headers •Email preview •Add to quarantine
Scan logs	•View detailed information scan results. •Read scan logs report.
Reports	•View detailed information about a report.		•Create/Edit/Delete •Generate&Download
Policies	•Read the list of policies and configuration within them.		•Export •Create and import •Edit/Delete
Subscription management	•Shows necessary information about the subscriptions pulled from ESET Business Account or ESET MSP Administrator.		•Protect groups and tenants •Unprotect groups and tenants
Audit log	•Shows general audit log data •Read audit log report.
Settings	•Shows general information about all registered tenants. •Read Syslogs report.	•Create/Edit/Delete ESET Cloud Office Security settings for Syslog and Access control.	•Add/Edit/Remove tenant
Global	•Tenants & Groups		•Preview features •Submit sample •Approve sender list •Block sender list •Rescan object •Add to detection exclusions

Click a role and select an action - Show details, modify existing role, or create a duplicate:

Action	Usage
Show details	Shows more detailed information about the role. You can also edit the role from this window if you decide to.
Edit	Modify existing role by editing: Targets, Assignments, and Permissions.
Duplicate	Clone an existing role to create a new one. This action duplicates parameters from an existing role, giving you edit mode so you can modify parameters if required.
Delete	Permanently remove a role.
